This
Hurricane Cocktail
is a sweet New Orleans staple drink. It's a fruity cocktail made with rum, grenadine, and other tropical flavors. A simple drink you can make right at home to celebrate Mardi Gras or other festive holidays!

Dark Rum

Light Rum

Passionfruit juice

Orange juice

Lemon juice

Grenadine
Instructions
Add crushed ice to a hurricane glass
To the glass, pour in the dark and light rum, passionfruit juice, orange juice, lemon or lime juice, and grenadine. Stir well to mix
Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice, and enjoy!
Notes
Traditionally, this drink is served in a
hurricane glass
! However, if you don't have that, any glass will work as long as it's large enough :-)
Oranges, lemons, and limes, yield the most juice when they're at room temperature
Don't have grenadine? Try adding this
blackberry simple syrup
instead!
Scale the recipe up to make a pitcher if you're serving a crowd
