This Hurricane Cocktail is a sweet New Orleans staple drink. It's a fruity cocktail made with rum, grenadine, and other tropical flavors. A simple drink you can make right at home to celebrate Mardi Gras or other festive holidays!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Ounces Dark Rum
  • 2 Ounces Light Rum
  • 2 Ounces Passionfruit juice
  • 2 Ounces Orange juice
  • 1 Ounce Lemon juice can also use lime
  • ¼ Ounce Grenadine

Method
 

  1. Add crushed ice to a hurricane glass
  2. To the glass, pour in the dark and light rum, passionfruit juice, orange juice, lemon or lime juice, and grenadine. Stir well to mix
  3. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice, and enjoy!

Notes

    • Traditionally, this drink is served in a hurricane glass! However, if you don't have that, any glass will work as long as it's large enough :-)
    • Oranges, lemons, and limes, yield the most juice when they're at room temperature

    • Scale the recipe up to make a pitcher if you're serving a crowd
