Marshmallow Spiderweb Black Cosmo

A spooky Black Cosmo finished with an edible marshmallow spiderweb for Halloween.

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ ounce black vodka or clear vodka colored black
  • ¾ ounce Cointreau
  • ½ ounce Chambord
  • 1½ ounces cranberry pomegranate juice
  • ½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • mini marshmallows a small handful, for the spiderweb

Method
 

  1. Add the vodka, Cointreau, Chambord, cranberry pomegranate juice and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 10–20 seconds, until chilled.
  2. Strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass.
  3. Microwave the marshmallows in short bursts, just until soft and stretchy. Let them cool briefly before handling.
  4. With slightly damp fingertips, pull small amounts of marshmallow into thin strands and stretch them across the rim of the glass in several directions to create a spiderweb. Add an optional spider decoration outside the drink and serve immediately.

Notes

Spiderweb tip: Use very small amounts of softened marshmallow and stretch them as thinly as possible. Melted marshmallow can be hot, so let it cool enough to handle safely.
