Fill high ball glasses up all the way to the top with crushed ice.
Add juice from 1½ oranges (or until the glass is about ⅓ of the way filled), 2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec, and top with Poppi orange soda.
Add a bit more ice if needed, so it's almost overflowing, and garnish with an orange wheel and straw.
Notes
Fresh OJ > bottled – It makes all the difference! Use sweet oranges like Naval, Valencia or Cara Cara for best flavor.Crushed ice = key – It keeps things colder, longer, and gives that classic “beachy bar” feel. It IS called an Orange CRUSH isn't it?Cointreau swap – No Cointreau? Triple sec or Grand Marnier works too (slightly sweeter or richer).Make it fizzy last – Add the soda or sparkling water after to keep the bubbles alive.Batch it for parties – Just multiply everything by 4–6 and serve in a pitcher (hold the ice ‘til serving).
