Spooky Black Cocktail For Halloween

This Spooky Black Vodka Martini is one of the most fun cocktail recipes I have on my blog! It not only looks cool but it tastes amazing and will be the talk of your Halloween party!

Ingredients
- ¾ ounce black vodka, or vodka dyed *see note below
- ¾ ounce Cointreau
- ½ ounce Chambord
- 1½ ounces cranberry pomegranate juice *see note below
- ½ ounce lemon
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 10 seconds.
- Strain into 4 ounce martini glass. Enjoy cold.

Getting Black Vodka- You have two options.
Purchase black vodka: The only black vodka I know of is Blavod. It gets its BLACK color from the South East Asian herb Black Catechu, which is extracted from the bark of the Acacia tree. I love that the color is naturally extracted!
Use food coloring: You can use your favorite kind of vodka and add 2-4 drops of BLACK food coloring to your cocktail shaker. This will turn your martini super dark so you still get the color we're going for.
Juice - I used a pomegranate/cranberry juice mix. If you can't find that, just mix equal parts of both juices.
