Instructions
Prepare mashed potatoes: I used store-bought to make things to quicker but you can make your own to save money. See note below*
Prepare toppings:
Fry bacon until crispy, then chop into small pieces.
Sauté mushrooms until tender.
Steam broccoli florets and set aside. (Don't make them mushy!)
Warm cheese sauce and gravy.
Set up the bar:
Arrange the mashed potatoes in the crock pots.
Place all toppings in bowls and label each one with mini chalkboard signs.
Provide bowls and wooden spoons for guests to serve themselves.
Serve: Let guests build their own loaded mashed potato creations with their favorite toppings.

Yield: 12-16 peopleYou should use about 3 cups of cubed potatoes in each crock. I used 1.5 of Main Street Bistro's premade mashed potatoes (about 30 oz.). You should be able to find them in your grocery store.Cheese Sauce:Simmer 1 tablespoon butter with 1 tablespoon flour in a saucepan. When it browns add ¼ cup milk and 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese. Simmer on low until melted and smooth. Use a whisk to mix. If it's too thick, add more milk. Too thin, add more cheese.
