A wintery spin on your classic margarita, this white winter margarita is a creamy but beautiful cocktail to serve this Christmas! You can even make it in advance. See tips below!
Prepare the glass: If desired, rim your glass with salt or toasted coconut flakes by rubbing a lime wedge along the edge of the glass or dipping it into honey, then dipping it into the coconut flakes and/or salt.
Mix the drink: In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and coconut cream. Fill with ice.
Shake: Shake WELL for about 15 seconds to mix and chill.
Serve: Strain the mixture into the rimmed glass filled with ice. I prefer crushed ice.
Garnish: Add a lime wedge/wheel, cranberries and or rosemary for a festive touch.
Notes
Make Margaritas In Advance!
Prepare the Cocktail Base: Combine all the ingredients—tequila, coconut milk (or coconut cream), triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup, except for the ice, in a bottle or jar. Seal it tightly and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
Chill the Glasses: You can also pre-rim the glasses with toasted coconut flakes. Simply coat the rims with coconut flakes and store the glasses in the fridge until ready to serve.
Add Ice and Shake: When you’re ready to serve, shake the pre-mixed cocktail with ice. You can even blend it with ice for a frozen margarita, or pour it over fresh ice for a chilled version.
