This
lavender simple syrup
is a fresh, floral addition to any recipe! All you need is dried lavender flowers, some sugar and water. It is perfect for flavoring drinks or desserts!

Ingredients

dried lavender

sugar

water
Instructions
Add the water and sugar to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Stir to dissolve the sugar and then turn down the heat to low.
Add in your dried lavender flowers and simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain lavender into a heatproof container and let cool.
Store in the fridge in a sealed container for 7-10 days.
Notes
Expert Tips
You want to steep your lavender flowers until it extracts the flavor similar to tea. Do not boil or your syrup will become bitter.
Use culinary lavender. It is best for cooking with and yields the best flavor.
If using fresh lavender, use the buds for the best recipe.
