Picture this: the azaleas are in full bloom, the sun is shining, and it's Masters Tournament time! I'm throwing my first Masters watching party at home, and I'd love for you to join in on the fun! It's going to be a hole in one! 🙂
I love themed parties especially when they involve competition! The Masters is one of the most famous tournaments in the world. It takes place over the course of 4 days until Masters Sunday arrives! The BEST golf day for golf fans.
So first things first, we've gotta set the scene, right? I'm talking about transforming the place into our own little slice of Augusta National.
I chose to set everything up on our back lenai since it was a nice day. The goal was to keep it simple but festive. I purchased everything off of Amazon and will link to it all at the bottom of this post.

The Food
Now, onto the best part: the food. At the Masters, they stick to southern fare. They serve lots of sandwiches but the most famous two are their pimento cheese and egg salad sandwiches.
BBQ ribs and peach cobbler would both be great additions to the menu..
To keep it simple, I decided to serve a pimento cheese dip/spread instead of a sandwich. I paired it with a few different cracker options including gluten free options for guests who are gluten sensitive.
I chose to make my own homemade egg salad and stuffed it into the top of a brioche bun. It sits up nicely like this too. Top with minced chives for some color.
Drinks
The unofficial drink of the Masters is called the "Azalea". It's easy to make, bright and refreshing.
Azalea Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 parts vodka
- 1 part lemon juice
- 1 part pineapple juice
- splash of grenadine
Another Masters festive drink would be an Arnold Palmer which is a mixture of lemonade and iced tea. You can add vodka to this to make it alcoholic too.
Donut Golf Tee Board
I purchased some turf off of Amazon to place on the table as a runner. It mimics the GREEN on the golf course.

I then took some and placed it over top of a foam square a few inches thick. Using golf tees, I hammered some into the turf and placed some donut holes on top!
I made some fried chicken apple sausages to serve with ketchup and golf ball toothpicks for dipping!
I made lime green Jello shots and placed them inside plastic shot cups with red flags and a mini marshmallow for the golf ball. They are cute and kid-friendly. You can add alcohol like vodka or rum to make jello shots for the adults! Use different colored flags to designate kid-friendly and adult-friendly.
I used a drill and plastic golf balls to drill holes in them. Then I stuck a straw through to make these fun golf ball straws!
Acitvities/Games
What's a party without some friendly competition?!
Consider playing a Masters-themed trivia game or one of these golf party games to test your knowledge of past champions and memorable moments while cheering on everyone's favorite players.
You can purchase this Master's Golf pool game for $10 off of Etsy to keep it competitive and in theme.
Attire
Last but not least, why not embrace the spirit of tradition? Dress up in green, no it doesn't have to be a green jacket, white jumpsuits or just golf attire!
Party Tips
Make sure you have plenty of viewing stations so everyone can catch every moment of the action. It could be cozying up on the couch with a big-screen TV or setting up a projector screen outdoors so everyone has a prime spot to watch the tournament.
