An Apple Cider Sangria Bar is exactly what your Thanksgiving needs this year. It's festive, tasty and easy to set up. I linked to all these products below for you to grab what you need in time for Thanksgiving.
Setting Up Your Bar
I did not want to make things too complicated or expensive because the food is expensive enough. So I used mostly budget friendly finds off of Amazon and the dollar store. Use what you have on hand and don't be afraid to get creative!
Tablecloth
Tablecloth: The "tablecloth" I used is actually a scarf I bought from the 5 Below store years ago. This goes to show you can use what you have. Anything checkered, white, orange, tan or brown would work fine. I suggest adding a runner if you only have a white or plain tablecloth
Chalkboard Sign
Chalkboard Sign: This is a MUST! It adds a bit of charm and is very inviting to guests. Don't forget the markers!
Drink Dispenser
Drink Dispenser: There are many drink dispensers out there. This glass one is from Amazon and is very simple. It's $39 and large enough to suit a party of 20+ guests. (Don't forget to get a stand!)
Wine Glasses
Wine Glasses: I prefer to serve sangria in larger wine glasses but any goblet-like glass works. I was able to find these wine glasses from the Dollar Tree! Check there first, they always have some. They're pretty heavy duty too.

Faux Garland
Artificial Eucalyptus Garland: I use this garland SO much it's very worth the price. For birthday parties, Easter, Christmas, etc. It's thicker quality and can be used year-round!
Cider Sangria Recipe
This recipe is one I use every year. It's light and refreshing and perfect for sipping on all day long while waiting for the turkey.
Garnishes
Adding garnishes and add-ins is what makes a cocktail bar a "BAR". To keep it festive, think fall and warmth.
- Sliced apples
- Sliced oranges
- Sliced lemons
- Cinnamon sticks
- Star anise
- Cinnamon sugar rim
Apple Cider Tips
Not all apple cider is the best and I do believe a good one will make a difference.
- Check for Freshness: Look for cider that is freshly pressed and has a short shelf life, indicating minimal processing. Try to avoid overly processed or shelf-stable ciders.
- Read the Label: Choose cider with no added sugars or artificial flavors. The best apple cider should only list apples (and perhaps some spices) as ingredients.
- Go Local: Visit local orchards or farmers' markets for fresh, unpasteurized cider. These always have a true authentic apple flavor.
- Look for Cloudiness: Fresh apple cider is typically unfiltered and appears cloudy, which means it contains more apple solids and retains more of the apple’s nutrients and flavors.
- Pasteurization Preference: Decide if you want pasteurized or unpasteurized cider. Pasteurized cider has a longer shelf life but may lack some of the flavor found in unpasteurized options.
