I have been putting back lemon drop shots since a kid. Well...since my 20's at least. So now I put them back when I want to give my guests a little something sweet, strong and refreshing! 🍋

What is a Lemon Drop Shot?
A Lemon Drop Shot is a sweet, tart, and super smooth vodka shot that literally tastes like a sugared lemon slice. It’s made with vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup (or sugar), shaken with lots of ice and served super cold.
I love serving it at parties in the summertime! Other warmer weather shots are my Green Tea Shot, White Tea Shot, or my Peach White Wine Spritzer.

Ingredients Tips!
- Vodka (use the best vodka you have!)
- Fresh lemon juice is key. No bottled juice please.
- Cointreau/Triple sec: I prefer this over simple syrup!
- Sugar: for rimming the glass

Pro Tips for the BEST Lemon Drop Shot
- Use chilled vodka for smoother shots
- If you don't like sweet drinks, opt for less cointreau and more lemon juice.
- Quick hack: Make a big batch for parties! Just add to a shaker to chill last minute or serve as lemon drop martinis!
Lemon Drop Shot Variations
- Use limoncello instead of vodka (Such a time-saver!)
- Swap simple syrup for flavored syrups (lavender, mint, etc.)
- Add a splash of soda water for a bubbly version
- Make it a frozen lemon drop shot and place the shot glasses in the freezer for 1 hour before serving
How to Make a Big Batch for a Crowd
- To determine the ratios, first ask yourself how many shots you'll need. Then multiply each ingredient by that number. Then convert the ounces to cups (divide by 8) and you're set! (Ex math teacher over here, hi!) 👋🏼

Notes
Feel free to use flavored vodka like citrus or raspberry in place of regular vodka.
Swap the Cointreau with simple syrup if you don't have any! That's equal parts sugar and water heated until dissolved then chilled.
