This green tea shot is super refreshing to hand out during the warmer months! It's peach-flavored, citrusy and not too strong so it goes down pretty easily! And no, there's no green tea in it! 😉

A green tea shot is made with Irish whiskety, peach schnapps and sour mix. Even thought it's called a green tea shot, it's actually a whiskey-based shooter. The "green tea" part comes from the color, which ends up looking a little like green tea!

📝 Green Tea Shot Ingredients

Let’s talk ingredients real quick.

1️⃣ Jameson Irish Whiskey (or your fave whiskey)

Whiskey is surprisingly the star of the show. Jameson gives it that smooth, slightly sweet, wont burn your throat finish. Most recipes use Jameson, but any smooth whiskey will work.

2️⃣ Peach Schnapps

This is where the sweetness comes in. It also helps mellow out the whiskey and give that yummy fruity finish.

3️⃣ Sour Mix

You need the sour to balance out the sweet. Bottled works fine but homemade sour mix makes these even better.

4️⃣ Splash of Lemon-Lime Soda (Sprite or 7UP)

Added at the end for a little fizz. Omit if you want it less sweet.

• Homemade sour mix makes a noticeable difference. Trust me.
• Don’t overdo the soda. A splash is plenty. Or top with lime club soda.
• Batch it! If you’re making these for a party, scale up and mix in a pitcher (just add soda right before serving if using).
• Garnish optional. A tiny lemon wedge, mint sprig or even a sugared rim can be a fun touch if you’re feeling fancy.
