These Cheesecake Cigars were created purely because of my strong love for cheesecake. I don't think there's anything that tastes better than cheesecake cream. So Why not take that creamy decadent concoction and pipe it into a crispy cinnamon sugar coated tortilla? It's crunchy creamy heaven!
If you've never tried my mini cheesecakes, I urge you to try them first. They are not as easy as this cheesecake dessert but they're definitely worth the effort.
These cheesecake rolls can be served as a fun dessert for both kids and adults at your next get-together!
Ingredients
- Mini Flour Tortillas: I used mini "street taco" sized tortillas
- Strawberries: Fresh strawberries will be added to the ends.
- Cream Cheese: Make sure to SOFTEN your cream cheese first. You can use any kind you prefer.
- Powdered Sugar: Do not use granulated sugar or it will not dissolve and lead to a grainy tasting filling.
- Vanilla Extract: This adds a delicious flavor to your filling. A MUST!
- Butter & Cinnamon Sugar: This will coat the tortilla and help to make it sweet and crispy.
- Heavy Cream: Adding a touch of heavy whipping cream to dense cream cheese mixture will convert it to a light & fluffy consistency.
Rolling Your Tortilla Cigars
To make tortilla tubes, we need these cannoli tubes. They will help us form the cigar or tubular shape we want. If you don't have these or want to wait for them to arrive from Amazon, you can use tinfoil shaped into a cylinder.
Before we roll them, it's important to brush them with butter. This will help to brown the tortillas, add some flavor AND make them crunchy! Oil will work too but it won't brown or flavor them the same way.
When the tubes are golden brown, you know they will be crunchy. Remove them and brush them again with more butter. This will serve as a "glue" to help the cinnamon sugar stick to the tube.

When the tortillas are fully cooled, it's time to fill them! Use your piping bag or ziploc bag to pipe the cheesecake cream into the tubes or "cigars". This is the fun part! Dunk both ends into the chopped strawberries and serve!
Can I refrigerate these?
I do not recommend refrigerating them as they will lose some of their crunch. Will they still taste delicious? Oh yes. But there's something about the crunch factor mixted with the creamy filling that just works!!
Can I make these in advance?
This is a question I ask ALL the time when it comes to entertaining. We want to do the least amount of work possible so we are ready to go and not stressed when company arrives right?!
So I suggest doing everything BUT piping the cheesecake cream inside the tubes. Try to do this as last minute as possible. It should only take a few minutes to fill 8 tubes.
OR, have the piping bag on the side and have your guests fill their own cigars! How fun would that be?
If you make these cheesecake cigars, comment or tag me on Instagram or Facebook! I love seeing your creations!

- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the tortillas are browned and crunchy. (Make sure the seems stay on the bottom or they will open in the oven.)

- When cool, pipe the cheesecake filling into the tortilla cigars making sure to fill them up on both sides.
- Dip both ends of the cigar into the strawberries and serve!
