Are you feeling adventurous and looking for a new cocktail to try tonight? If so, you've most definitely got to try shaking up this Liquid Marijuana Drink!
It's so sweet, simple, and filled with tropical flavors. The names comes from the bright color of the cocktail, so don't worry there's no actual cannabis in here.
If you're looking for more colorful cocktails, be sure to try this blue lagoon drink, triple layer bomb pop drink, or a lavender martini.
What Is A Liquid Marijuana Drink?
Don't worry! There's NO marijuana in here.
It's just a sweet, fruity cocktail made up of tropical flavors such as pineapple, coconut rum, melon liqueur, and blue curacao! It's DELICIOUS!
Oftentimes, it's served in a highball glass over ice to achieve the best flavor. Like I said before, there's no actual marijuana in it, it's just a fun name!
Ingredient Tips
*full ingredients list and measurements can be found in recipe card below*
- Pineapple juice: Try and find pineapple juice in a glass bottle because I find the canned juice to taste a bit metallic.
- Midori: This is a melon flavored rum! It's needed to achieve that gorgeous green color.
- Coconut rum: Adds a tropical flavor that makes it drink truly delicious.
- Spiced rum: For a cost effective option, Sailor Jerry spiced rum is a great choice. It's dark rum with hints of vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Blue curacao: This alcohol has a delicious bitter orange taste that pairs so well with the other fruity flavors like in my blue lagoon mocktail. The blue is a must since when combined with the yellow, it makes GREEN!
- Lemon and lime juice: These add a hint of brightness and lighten up the drink so it's nice and refreshing. You can also use sweet and sour mix if you prefer.
How To Make A Liquid Marijuana Drink
1: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker (this one NEVER sticks) with some ice.
2: Shake well for 10-20 seconds, then strain into a highball glass.
3: Garnish your liquid marijuana drink with a pineapple wedge, then chill for 30 minutes before enjoying!

For the spiced rum, I use Captain Morgan since it's popular and inexpensive but use whatever you prefer.
For the coconut rum, you can use Bacardi or Malibu rum. Both work well and taste delicious.
Drink Variations
- Swap out the coconut liquer for banana liqueur
- Use sweet and sour mix instead of the lemon and lime juice.
- Use orange juice in place of the pineapple juice.
- Add vodka with the rum!

Frequently Asked Questions
NO! Despite its name there is no actual marijuana in this drink. It's only called that because of thitse bright green color!
Totally! In fact, I highly recommend it since there are quite a few ingredients. Plus, it looks so beautiful sitting there. Just wait to add ice so it does not water the cocktail down.
